This alternative half day excursion takes you on a different, shorter cycling route of approx 12 km. You will still enjoy fabulous scenery freewheeling through Costa Dorada’s beautiful National Park. We will finish the bike ride at a family owned vineyard in the heart of the Montsant & Priorat wine region. And in the village you will get to meet the owners, who will show you how they produce their wines and get to taste 2 of their award winning wines. You will have the chance to buy these and other amazing wines from different vintages.

Practice & Safety Session
We appreciate the vast majority of our customers haven’t ridden a bike for a while and we want to give you the opportunity to get back on a seat!
Once we have collected you we will take a short 25 mins drive into the mountains to our practice area on a closed off road. During the drive, your driver will entertain you with their knowledge of the region’s history, culture and life style. Once we arrive your guides will assign the right bikes to you and you will have the chance to try them out before you start the free wheeling fun.
Free wheeling fun
Once you have completed the practice session you will start the decent on our first stage, and a famous stage it is. The road we are taking is part of the World Ralley Championship which comes to the Costa Dorada every October. So enjoy the beautiful scenery and get a feel of how exiting it must be to navigate these route in a small fast moving car!
The second stage takes you down into the wine region of the Priorat on a scenic road past the village of Porrera and into the vineyard of the family of Sangenis i Vaque. In the vineyard you will learn about the traditional wine making process, the different grapes and the history of this over 350 year old winery.
From the vineyard we cycle into the village and visit the bodega of Sangenis i Vaque and one of the family members will explain the wine making process and the differences in the types of wine they are producing. After that you will have the chance to try two of their award winning wines. And, if you like, you can then buy some of their excellent products to take home with you.
